In the Studio

Teenagers love the Potter's Wheel

On-site class for the Alzheimer's Association
LESSONS
With decades of experience in ceramics, I bring a deep understanding of both the art and the craft of pottery. I have taught hundreds of students, from advanced potters who need a boost to reach the next level to beginners who have never touched clay.
My teaching approach is grounded in sharing practical knowledge and my experience teaching a wide variety of students. For advanced students who want help with studio setup, clay selection, and mastering advanced techniques, I can tailor lessons. I strive to create a supportive environment where students are encouraged to explore clay at their own pace, develop their skills with confidence, and discover their unique artistic voice.

PRIVATE LESSONS
Come to my beautiful light-filled studio! One-on -one private lessons are amazing. Private lessons can be a great way to address specific needs, work at your own pace, or create a special project. Perfect if you have a difficult schedule or for the home potter who does not need studio access. Convenient to the Upper Valley, I have a fully equipped studio with kilns, wheels, slab roller, extruder, and loads of tools and supplies. Treat yourself to a private lesson or a special class for you and a friend. Two hours for one student is $145 and includes 1-2 fired pieces. Additional firing fees may apply.

WORKSHOPS/SHORT CLASSES

Dates TBD. Handbuilding (not on the potter's wheel). For those who love clay and are super creative with their hands, explore all you can do with slabs of clay. You will learn many skills and techniques in this workshop and leave with a few beautiful projects.

CONSULTATION
I can assist you in selecting equipment, placement, and organization of your studio.
Choosing the right kiln or setup can be challenging and confusing, and I can help you make those decisions with ease. I offer a "refresher class" for Art Teachers who need to brush up on their ceramics knowledge or do an on-site school visit to your clay studio.
