Teenagers love the Potter's Wheel

On Site Pottery Class

On-site class for the Alzheimer's Association

As a seasoned potter with decades of experience, I offer comprehensive knowledge about ceramics and setting up a studio with kilns and equipment. My teaching philosophy is centered around providing students with the necessary information, tools, and techniques to explore ceramics at their own pace and in their own creative direction, ultimately helping them find their voice in clay.

I teach a limited number of adult classes at the Haven Art Studio, a large well well-equipped ceramic studio in Port Washington.  For  2024 I am teaching on Wednesdays and Thursdays. My classes are generally full with a waiting list so call the studio to reserve.

4-week Handbuilding (not on the potter's wheel)
For those who love clay and are super creative with their hands explore all you can do with slabs of clay. You will learn many skills and techniques in this workshop and leave with two very cool projects.

Two-hour private lessons are $150. Additional firing fees may apply.  Private lessons can be a great way to address specific needs, work at your own pace, or create a special project. Perfect for someone who has a difficult schedule or for the home potter who does not need studio access. I can travel to you within 30 minutes of Port Washington.

I can assist you in selecting equipment, placement, and organization of your studio.

Choosing the right kiln or setup can be challenging and confusing and I can help you make those decisions with ease. I offer a "refresher class"  for Art Teachers who need to brush up on their ceramics knowledge or do an on-site school visit to your clay studio.
