LESSONS

With decades of hands-on experience in ceramics, I bring a deep understanding of both the art and the craft of pottery. My teaching approach is grounded in sharing practical knowledge—from studio setup and clay selection to mastering essential techniques. I strive to create a supportive environment where students are encouraged to explore clay at their own pace, develop their skills with confidence, and discover their unique artistic voice.

During the summer I am moving my group teaching practice, and will not be teaching until fall, 2025 so please stay tuned.

WORKSHOPS/SHORT CLASSES

Dates TBD 4-week Handbuilding (not on the potter's wheel) For those who love clay and are super creative with their hands explore all you can do with slabs of clay. You will learn many skills and techniques in this workshop and leave with two very cool projects.

PRIVATE LESSONS

Two-hour private lessons are $150. Additional firing fees may apply.  Private lessons can be a great way to address specific needs, work at your own pace, or create a special project. Perfect for someone who has a difficult schedule or for the home potter who does not need studio access. I can travel to you within 30 minutes of Port Washington.

CONSULTATION

I can assist you in selecting equipment, placement, and organization of your studio.

Choosing the right kiln or setup can be challenging and confusing and I can help you make those decisions with ease. I offer a "refresher class"  for Art Teachers who need to brush up on their ceramics knowledge or do an on-site school visit to your clay studio.
