Private & Group
I teach students young and old and offer several decades of experience as a potter as well as having a deep knowledge base about ceramics, setting up a studio and kilns and equipment. As a teacher, my philosophy is to provide each student with the information, tools, and techniques for them to further explore ceramics at their own pace and in their own creative direction. I have produced several instructional videos that hundreds of thousands of viewers have watched. In a supportive and creative environment, I can help students grow their creativity and artistry.
PRIVATE LESSONS OUTSIDE!
Warm Months - Private lessons are available outside under my tent at my private studio. Enjoy the open air and greater social distancing of one-on-one lessons. Two-hour private lessons are $120. Additional fee for firing any pieces may apply.
I offer private one-on-one lessons. Private lessons can be a great way to address specific needs, work at your own pace, or create a special project. It is also great for someone who has a difficult schedule or for the home potter that does not need studio access. I can travel to you within 30 minutes of Port Washington.
Either in person or via skype I can assist you in selecting equipment, placement, and organization of your studio.
Choosing the right kiln or set up can be challenging and I can help make those decisions easier. I can also offer a "refresher class" for Art Teachers that need to brush up on their ceramics knowledge or do an on-site school visit to your clay studio.
I teach a limited number of adult classes at the Haven Art Studio, a large well equipped ceramic studio in Port Washington. My classes are generally at capacity so REGISTER by calling 516.883.8344
